Tom gets ready
Mike Marino steps into the ring to show the wrestlers his title belt, and confirm that the prize for the winner will be the chance to wrestle him for the title. Referee Jeff Kaye explains the rules to both wrestlers.
The match begins, and the contestants test each other with a series of power holds.
Kilby weakens Dowie with a spectacular posting.
Dowie punches Kilby with the referee unsighted, protests his innocence and offers Kilby a handshake, which is understandably refused.
The referee prepares to step in as Dowie smothers Kilby, restricting his breathing. Kilby responds with a dropkick
Dowie's 4th round punch is punished with a 'Public Warning', but Kilby is weakened and Dowie goes on to win the first pinfall.
Dowie applies a bodycissors, and then throws Kilby out of the ring.
Kilby slams and pins Dowie for the equaliser.
The bruising fight continues. Kilby catches Dowie with a well-timed kick, and takes him down for the winning pinfall. Marino returns to sign the contract for the forthcoming title bout with Kilby.
